The next step is to connect the DAQ to the phase wires of the electric motor. Let's start with the three current sensors.
1. Plug the connectors of the current sensor cables into the corresponding ports of the DAQ and lead the sensor cables from the DAQ to the corresponding phase wires of the motor.
Notice Plugging a connector into the wrong port on the DAQ is prevented by red insert pieces in the connectors. The current sensor connectors only fit in the corresponding port on the DAQ.
2. To measure current for medium voltage assets the SAM4 hardware uses existing current transformers. Based on the functionality of the transformers, the secondary current differs. The transformer output is either 1 or 5 Amps which creates two connection options as shown below
